Game screen blank, cropped or too large? Check the view first.

Cards cut off at the edge of a window can look like a broken game. Before changing graphics software, check whether the problem follows the game, the browser zoom level or the whole display. Make one reversible change at a time.

1. Describe what you see

Is the game completely blank, or are only the controls cut off? Does the browser’s own menu look normal? Note whether the problem began after changing monitors, adjusting zoom or entering fullscreen. Do not close a game with unsaved progress simply to test.

2. Check page zoom

In Chrome, open the three-dot menu and inspect the Zoom setting. Compare the game at 100% briefly to identify a layout issue, then choose a comfortable readable level. A browser’s text-size setting and its page zoom are different; changing one may not resize the game’s own drawing area.

3. Compare the available window space

Try a larger browser window or the game’s documented fullscreen control. If a panel or banner covers the game, look for its normal close control rather than clicking an unfamiliar overlay. Follow the publisher’s instructions for leaving fullscreen.

4. Check the right monitor

On Windows, open Settings → System → Display and select the affected monitor before reviewing its scale and resolution. Note the existing settings so you can restore them. Microsoft recommends the recommended resolution for the clearest display. Do not force a lower resolution as a universal fix; it can make text blurry or stretched.

5. Separate a blank game from a small game

If the whole game remains blank, inspect the publisher’s service information and supported browsers. Use the browser loading guide to compare a fresh session. A game-specific compatibility issue is different from a display-wide fault.

Do not install graphics drivers from advertisements or change advanced browser flags as a first step. If a driver is genuinely needed, use the device manufacturer’s official instructions.

Common questions

Should I keep the game at 100% zoom?

No. It is a useful comparison, not a requirement. Use a readable size that works with the game, and ask its publisher about accessibility options if the layout does not adapt.

Does a blank screen prove my graphics card is faulty?

No. Browser compatibility, game availability and other causes can produce the same symptom. Compare other apps and record what changes the result.
